A 20-year-old woman from Himachal was reportedly killed after a four-storey building collapsed in Punjab's Mohali on Saturday. The victim, Drishti Verma from Theog, was pulled from the rubble in critical condition and rushed to Sohana Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries, reports said.

Several others were suspected to be trapped under the debris and the rescue operations are currently underway. Teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the Army were involved in the rescue operation until late night.

The collapse occurred during excavation work in the basement of the adjacent building. Preliminary police investigations suggest the collapse resulted from digging work for basement construction on the adjoining plot.

For India, Harmanpreet Singh, Sukhjeet Singh, Lalit Upadhyay and Raj Kumar Pal all were able to beat British goal-keeper Ollie Payne. For Great Britain, James Alberry and Zachary Wallace converted their shots but Sreejesh ensured Conor Williamson and Phil Roper missed.

Argentina's 3-3 draw against Belgium solidified India's position in Pool B and now face Great Britain in the quarter-final. The Brits encountered a 1-2 loss at the hands of Germany in their final Pool A match.

According to news agency PTI, two excavators have been deployed as part of the operation. In addition to the NDRF team and the fire brigade, personnel from the Indian Army have also joined the rescue operation in Mohali.
